Dogs allowed

Oh What a day!!! We had such a good time on Saturday, and we were so happy to see so many familiar faces. We sold over 600 tickets to humans, and those humans brought in 275 dogs! We raised a total of $4300 for both IFAW and The Sampson Fund. The IFAW fund helps companion animals all over the world, and The Sampson Fund helps pay for sick companion animals right here on Cape Cod.

We are so happy you helped us raise this money for dogs and cats less fortunate than our own. Bravo to you!

So, to answer your first question: YES! There will be another DOGS ALLOWED next year! We intend to make it a yearly event. We hope to add new elements to the day and make it even better than this year's event (is that possible?)

Next, we have to address the behavior of our dogs. WELL DONE! The dogs were so well behaved, I was so proud of each dog, as if it were my own. While we were quite busy at the desk up front, I kept taking a moment to look around.  Seeing all the tails wagging and happy faces made me teary! 

So onto DOGS ALLOWED 2008. We will use this blog to present ideas and we will look for your feedback on these ideas. The first idea that has been presented to me several times is that we should have the event on Sunday. How do you feel about that?
